Definitions

“User” means the person or entity using the website.

Agreement

By accessing or using this Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you create an account or place an order through this Website, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

Delivery and Shipping

Orders are generally dispatched within 7–10 business days after full payment has been received. Special order items, supplier delays or public holidays may extend this timeframe by an additional 3–5 business days.

WestOz Water Filters will make every reasonable effort to dispatch and deliver your order within the estimated delivery timeframe. Delivery estimates are provided as a guide only and exclude weekends and public holidays.

Delivery delays may occur due to circumstances outside our control, including supplier shortages, freight delays or extreme weather.

Products will be delivered to the delivery address provided with your order unless otherwise agreed. A tracking number will be emailed once your order has been dispatched, where tracking is available.

If your delivery address is unattended at the time of delivery, the courier will

  • leave in a place the courier ultimately decides is suitable.; OR
  • inform you by text of nearest delivery pick-up by you if you have paid for ‘Signature on Delivery’

Should the courier be unable to complete delivery and the parcel is returned to WestOz Water Filters, we will make reasonable attempts to contact you to arrange re-delivery. If we are unable to contact you after two attempts, the order may be returned to stock and any applicable return freight, re-delivery charges, restocking fees and merchant processing fees may be deducted from any refund.

Any re-delivery charges imposed by the freight carrier are the responsibility of the customer.

If your order has not arrived within the estimated delivery period, please contact WestOz Water Filters by phone or email.

Privacy

WestOz Water Filters collects personal information necessary to process orders, respond to enquiries and provide customer support.

Our collection, storage and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, available on this Website.

Return/refund or credit policy

WestOz Water Filters accepts returns in accordance with this policy and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Damaged Goods

If goods arrive damaged during transit, please notify WestOz Water Filters within 24 hours of delivery.

A Goods Return Authority (GRA) will be issued where appropriate.

Approved items must be returned within 7 days of receiving the Goods Return Authority unless otherwise agreed.

Once assessed, WestOz Water Filters will repair, replace or refund the goods as appropriate.

Incorrect Item Supplied

If you receive an incorrect item, please notify us within 24 hours of delivery.

A Goods Return Authority will be issued and WestOz Water Filters will arrange the return and replacement of the goods.

Items must be returned unused and, where reasonably possible, in their original packaging.

Incorrect Item Ordered or Change of Mind

If you have ordered the incorrect item or no longer require the goods, WestOz Water Filters may accept the return at its discretion.

Conditions include:

  • approval of a Goods Return Authority;
  • goods must be unused;
  • goods must be in a saleable condition;
  • original packaging should be included where possible;
  • return freight is the customer’s responsibility; and
  • a reasonable restocking fee and any non-refundable merchant processing fees may apply.

Refunds

Refunds will generally be processed using the original payment method.

Alternatively, customers may request in writing

  • an alternative refund method; or
  • a credit to their WestOz Water Filters accounts for future purchases.

If an order is cancelled before it has been dispatched, a full refund or account credit will generally be provided.

Where payment was made by credit card or another electronic payment method, any non-refundable merchant processing fees incurred by WestOz Water Filters may be deducted from the refund amount.

No refunds are available for:

  • international purchases; or
  • sale items purchased at a reduced price,

unless the goods are faulty or a remedy is otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law.

Payment Methods and Processing

Unless otherwise agreed, full payment must be received before goods are dispatched.

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
  • PayPal

Orders placed outside normal business hours, on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

A tax invoice with Australia Post tracking number will be emailed after your order has been dispatched.

WestOz Water Filters may request additional identification to verify payment or protect against fraudulent transactions.

Pricing

Unless otherwise stated, all prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD).

WestOz Water Filters reserves the right to change prices without notice.

Shipping charges are calculated separately and will be shown during checkout.

The total shipping charge may vary depending on the products ordered, delivery location and freight requirements. Unless otherwise stated, website orders over $55 qualify for free standard shipping within Australia. Whilst every effort is made to ensure pricing accuracy, errors may occasionally occur.

Submission of an order constitutes an offer to purchase.

An automated order confirmation acknowledges receipt of your order only and does not constitute acceptance of that order.

WestOz Water Filters reserves the right to accept or decline any order before dispatch.

Your Data

By placing an order, you consent to WestOz Water Filters collecting, storing and using your personal information for the purpose of:

  • processing your order;
  • providing customer support;
  • administering warranties; and
  • communicating with you regarding your purchase.

With your consent, we may also send information about products, services or promotions that may interest you.

You may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

You may request access to your personal information or request corrections by contacting WestOz Water Filters in writing.

Payment Security

Credit card transactions are securely processed by our authorised payment provider.

Payment information is encrypted using industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology.

WestOz Water Filters does not store complete credit card details on its servers.

Credit Card Fraud

WestOz Water Filters uses secure payment systems designed to protect customer information.

However, to the extent permitted by law, WestOz Water Filters is not liable for losses arising from the unauthorised or fraudulent use of a customer’s payment card where such losses occur outside our reasonable control.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Warranty

Manufacturer’s Warranty
Unless otherwise stated, products supplied by WestOz Water Filters are covered by a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty against manufacturing defects.

Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. These guarantees apply in addition to any manufacturer’s warranty and may provide rights beyond the stated warranty period, depending on the nature of the product and the circumstances.

Installation Warranty
Where installation is carried out by one of our recommended installation plumbers, workmanship is covered by a five (5) year warranty provided by the installing plumber.

Limitation of Liability – product suitability depends on the information supplied by the customer and that recommendations are based on that information.

Website Content & Intellectual Property

All website content, photographs and logos remain the property of WestOz Water Filters and cannot be reproduced without permission.
